Nutrition
& Snacks
Breakfast
is your child's most important meal.
Please ensure that your child eats a nutritious breakfast.
Parents of
children in all classes are asked to participate in providing snack on a
rotating basis throughout the year. This extra help from parents is most
appreciated and provides an opportunity for each child to share with
classmates. A snack schedule will be
distributed to each class as well as lists of recommended foods and beverages. Whole grain crackers or bread, a variety of
raw fruits, nuts and vegetables are recommended. Morning snacks are available between 9:30 to
10:30 a.m. Children with food allergies
may be asked to bring their own snacks. Students in the Afternoon Extended Day will
be provided a light snack.
