Departures and Extended Care

Your child learns to expect you at a certain time each day.  Please pick up your child promptly at the specified time. This permits a comfortable closure for the child. Children will be released only to authorized persons who are designated on the child's emergency information card.  The end of the day can be a hectic time and the teaching staff is preoccupied with assisting this transition. Parents wishing to discuss their child's progress in school are asked to make an appointment. This enables the teacher to address parent concerns and questions without distraction.

     

Dismissal for the Toddler students is 2:30p.m. and Primary students begins at 2:45 p.m.  Dismissal for Elementary and Middle School students is 3:00 p.m.  All Extended Care begins at 3:00 p.m. Toddlers may not be left in Extended Day.

     

 

Morning Extended Day begins at 7:30 and ends at 8:15 a.m. Parents must sign-in their children for Morning Extended Care.  The sign-up sheet is located on the Library deck.  Afternoon Extended Day begins at 3:00 p.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. It is imperative that all children are picked up by 5:30 p.m. A $20 charge will be assessed for the time period beyond 5:30 p.m. A $30 fee plus $1.00 per minute will be assessed for all time after 6:00 p.m.

     

There are two systems by which children may enter the Extended Day Program. First is on a monthly basis, paid in advance. This allows the parent the flexibility of having the child in Extended Day as little or as much as they desire.

     

The second method of accessing Extended Day Care involves calling the school before 1:00 p.m. to register your child to attend afternoon care on that day. There are limited spaces available for “drop-in” care. If a child is not registered for the monthly service, a phone call is required each day. You will be notified at this time whether there is space available in Extended Care.  This information is essential so that we can maintain our licensing and staffing ratio. If your child is a “drop-in” for Extended Care without prior notification you will be assessed a $10 fee for non-notification in addition to the hourly Extended Care fee.  If Extended Care is full you will be called to pick-up your child.  Parents may lose the Extended Care privilege for non-notification.  Students in Afternoon Extended Day will be provided a light snack.

     

Parents who are utilizing the second method will be charged $50.00 in advance for ten hours of Extended Care. This will be assessed the first time the child enters Extended Day.

 

Charges for Late Pick-Up or Non Notification

Non-Notification = $10.00

5:35 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. pick up = $20.00

After 6:00 p.m. pick up = $30.00 plus $1.00 per minute
